1. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly when using Kavivero, including your email address, current loan balance, interest rate, remaining term, loan type, estimated home value, ZIP code, credit score range, refinancing goal, and monthly gross income. We also automatically collect usage data such as IP address, browser type, device information, pages visited, and interaction timestamps through standard server logs.

2. How We Use Your Information

Your mortgage data is used solely to compute refinance timing analyses, break-even projections, and rate comparison models. We use aggregated, anonymized usage data to improve our rate trajectory models and geographic lending indices. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with mortgage lenders, brokers, or data brokers. We do not share your data with any lead generation services.

3. Cookies and Tracking

Kavivero uses essential cookies to maintain your browser session and store analysis inputs locally. We do not use third-party advertising cookies or cross-site tracking pixels. Session storage is used to pass your mortgage inputs between the calculator and results pages. You may disable cookies in your browser settings, though this may affect Service functionality.

4. Data Retention

Calculator inputs stored in your browser session are cleared when you close your browser tab. Account data, including email address and saved reports, is retained until you request deletion. Server access logs are retained for 90 days for security and debugging purposes, then automatically purged. API request logs for paid subscribers are retained for 12 months for billing verification.

5. CCPA Rights

If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, request deletion of your data, and opt out of the sale of your personal information (we do not sell personal data). To exercise these rights, contact privacy@smarttechinvest.com or use our CCPA deletion endpoint at DELETE /v1/user/data. We will respond to verified requests within 45 days as required by the California Consumer Privacy Act.

6. Financial Data Protection

We recognize that mortgage and income data is sensitive financial information. Your loan details and credit score range are never shared with third parties. We implement TLS encryption in transit, encrypted storage at rest, and strict access controls on all production systems containing financial data.
